Approved USA Hockey Rosters

Team Manager And Locker Room Monitor Requirments

All team managers and locker room monitors need to register for USA Hockey and complete MN Hockey Background Screening and USA Hockey Safe Sport Training.

1. Register as a Volunteer with USA Hockey

You will need to get a new USA Hockey Confirmation number each year.

2. MN Hockey Background Screening

This is good for 2 years.

3. USA Hockey SafeSport Training

Refresher course needs to be done every year.

4. Register as a Manager with DAHA

This short, free registration will allow DAHA to grant you access to SportsEngine as an editor of your team's webpage, send messages, input practices & game, etc.

Intro

Thank you for volunteering to manage your child’s hockey team this season!  Some items that the team manager is responsible for are; Assessments, Tournaments, Practice Ice, Hotel Blocks, Team Apparel orders, Jersey collection, and most importantly helping communicate all of this to the parents.

2020-2021 Recorded Team Manager Meeting

General Duties

1. Team “Coordinator” between coaches, parents, players, and Board.
2. Team treasurer / Accountant (manage team funds)
3. Team webmaster - edit the team page of the DAHA website
4. Input team schedules on the Team calendar and keep the game schedule updated (DAHA Website).
5. Assist scheduling practices, scrimmages, swing games, dryland, etc
6.  Make and manage stickers for scorebooks and input roster on Gamesheet
7. Team record keeper (team binder).
8. Arrange in-game volunteer positions for parents (scorebook, time clock, penalty box)
9 Check team into tournaments
10. Set up hotel room blocks for out of town tournaments or swing games
12. Help organize picture day.
The above list describes most of the job duties. Additional tasks may arise as the season goes on. It can be helpful to have more than one manager and delegate duties. For example, one person would take on scheduling, another would be treasurer.
